Mission & Values
At WaterMonster, our mission is simple:
to make sustainable hydration accessible wherever people gather.
We believe that clean drinking water should never come at the expense of our planet. Every WaterMonster tank replaces thousands of disposable bottles and cups, helping event organizers, cities, and communities reduce waste and build more responsible habits.
Our core values guide everything we do:
- Sustainability: We design every product to last, reuse, and reduce environmental impact.
- Community: We exist to serve people—athletes, volunteers, students, and first responders—by keeping them hydrated and healthy.
- Innovation: We constantly improve our systems to make hydration faster, cleaner, and smarter.
- Integrity: We operate with transparency and respect, always honoring our customers and partners.
- Service: Whether supporting a local 5K or a global relief mission, we’re committed to delivering hydration where it matters most.
Together, we’re not just distributing water—we’re building a movement toward a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Our Story
WaterMonster began in Austin, Texas in 2009, when process engineer Kevin Huff and race director Jon Hill teamed up to solve a problem: traditional event water stations were wasteful, labor-intensive, and expensive.
Their vision was simple—create a smarter, cleaner way to keep large groups hydrated. The result was the first WaterMonster: a lightweight, stackable, refillable 125-gallon tank that could serve thousands of people with minimal effort and zero waste.
Race directors embraced it immediately. Volunteers loved the reduced workload. Runners and attendees noticed the cleaner, faster, and greener experience.
Today, WaterMonster products are used by thousands of organizations across the U.S. and beyond, including major races, universities, city parks, pro sports teams, and relief agencies. What started as a local innovation has become the industry standard for large-scale, sustainable hydration.
