WaterMonster Distributor FAQs (General Overview)

Who Are We Looking for to Become a WaterMonster Distributor in Australia?

We are seeking candidates who are already involved in or support outdoor events, such as event directors, chip timers, fencing suppliers, port-a-potty providers, and other related businesses. Individuals with pre-existing connections in this market will have an advantage, as they can leverage their customer base to quickly establish their new WaterMonster business.

Why Should You Choose WaterMonster for Your Business?

WaterMonster represents an innovative and unique concept that complements businesses supporting outdoor events. If you already have an established business serving outdoor events, the WaterMonster offers an excellent way to expand your product offerings to your existing customers. As an exclusive distributor, you'll enjoy a competitive advantage and the opportunity to bundle your current business offerings with WaterMonster services, giving you more negotiation power and a way to outperform the competition.

How Quickly Can You Expect to Profit from This Business?

The speed at which you can make this business profitable depends on the strength of your existing relationships with event organizers. If you have strong connections with event directors, you can anticipate becoming cash flow positive within the first year.

What Is the Initial Investment Required to Start?

To secure exclusive rights in Australia, you must purchase a minimum of 50 WaterMonster kits at a price of $1,200 per kit ($60,000 US). These kits will be shipped in a 20-foot container. The most competitive pricing is available for 100 units, priced at $1,000 per kit ($100,000 US), shipped in a 40-foot container. To maintain these exclusive rights, you'll need to make a $5,000 minimum purchase of any of our products every 2 years.

How Does Shipping Work?

The customer is responsible for all shipping and brokerage costs, as well as local taxes. We have an international shipping partner to assist with pickup and delivery, but if you have your own shipping company, we can work with them. We will collaborate with your broker to complete the necessary customs paperwork.

What Territories Are Being Offered?

We're providing exclusive territorial rights for each country, and these will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you sign up and meet the minimum purchase requirement, you will be the only authorized distributor of WaterMonster equipment for as long as you adhere to the agreement.

What Should You Charge Your Customers?

Pricing may vary based on the exchange rate in different countries. In the United States, WaterMonster kits (tank, stand, and lid) retail for $1,495. When offering full service, we typically charge $300 per WaterMonster unit, along with necessary travel charges, but these prices can vary depending on location.

WaterMonster Distributor Requirements

What Do You Need to Get Started?

To offer WaterMonster services, you'll need a pickup truck (3/4 ton or 1 ton), a water source tank, a water pump, the appropriate hose fittings (which we offer), and a transport rack (also available through us). If you intend to sell WaterMonster equipment exclusively, you'll need either a fulfillment center to manage storage and shipping logistics or you can handle this aspect yourself.

Where Do You Get Water?

In many cases, event locations will have an accessible water source. You can connect a food-grade hose directly to the WaterMonster tank or fill your truck tank and transport the water to your chosen setup location. If the event lacks a water source, you can contact your local water utility company, which can provide you with a fire hydrant water meter. You'll pay a one-time deposit (varying from city to city) and then report your meter reading monthly. The water from the fire hydrant is the same as tap water in your home.

Are There Sales Quotas?

Yes, you must purchase a minimum of 50 WaterMonster tanks every 2 years to maintain exclusive distribution rights in your territory. Failing to meet this requirement will result in losing your exclusive rights, although you can still purchase WaterMonster equipment at a slightly higher price.

When Does the Quota Begin?

The sales quota period starts after you pay for and receive your first order. At the end of 2 years, you must meet the minimum defined quota to retain your exclusive distribution rights.

Why Not Charge a Royalty Fee Instead of Creating Sales Quotas?

Royalty fees typically categorize a business as a franchise, which comes with substantial costs and regulatory complexities. By implementing sales quotas, we provide you with more flexibility under distributorship rules.

Can You Sell Your Distributorship?

Yes, you can build up your territory and then sell it. However, the new distributor must adhere to and sign a new distributor agreement with the parent company to obtain exclusive rights and protection.
Sales Revenue

Sales Revenue

How Can You Profit as a WaterMonster Distributor?

You'll profit from either selling WaterMonster equipment at retail prices or by charging customers for your hydration services.

How Can You Benefit from Sponsorship?

The WaterMonster serves as an advertising billboard, allowing you to sell banner space on the tanks. You can easily attach banners just above the spigots using Velcro. We offer custom banner wraps with unlimited artwork design, perfectly cut to fit the tank's shape. We will provide you with the master banner template, enabling a local print shop to create the banners. Our marketing efforts globally support the "WaterMonster" brand, and inquiries we receive from your territory will be forwarded to you, fostering your success.

Territories

What Territories Are Available?

All countries worldwide, except the United States, are open for distribution.

What Is the Size of a Territory?

Each territory encompasses an entire country.

Can You Expand to Another Territory?

You can expand into an unclaimed territory if one is available. However, this expansion requires purchasing a minimum of 50 WaterMonster tanks. If a territory is already claimed, you cannot conduct any WaterMonster-related business within that territory unless the existing distributor agrees. Unauthorized business operations are subject to termination of your exclusive distributorship agreement(s), enabling us to reclaim your previous territory and issue a new distributor agreement to a different party.

Handling Leads in Occupied Territories

If a customer contacts you from another occupied territory, you must forward the lead to the supplier, who will then direct the customer to the local distributor.

Exclusive/Non-Exclusive Rights

What Rights Do You Obtain with a Distribution Territory?

When you secure a distribution territory, you receive exclusive rights to sell WaterMonster equipment and offer WaterMonster service within your defined territory.

Why Is This Structured as a Distributorship and Not a Franchise?

Franchising involves substantial costs and constraints, making distributorship a more cost-effective and flexible option for starting and operating this business. We aim to simplify your operations and empower you to operate as you see fit, while keeping startup costs low.

Legal Matters

Do You Have a Legal Agreement?

Yes, we have a legal agreement for becoming an exclusive WaterMonster distributor, which we will provide upon request. We are also working on translating the agreement into additional languages.

Marketing Support

Will the Supplier Provide Marketing Materials and Instructions?

Marketing materials and instructional information will be available on our website. You are free to use the information available on our website, and we are currently developing a multi-language web platform. The supplier will offer necessary training, supported by instructional videos to facilitate your training process.

Can You Co-Brand Your Company's Name on the WaterMonster Equipment?

Yes, co-branding is allowed. However, WaterMonster should remain the primary focal logo, with your company contact information positioned beneath it. Our worldwide marketing efforts are primarily focused on promoting the "WaterMonster" brand. Any inquiries we receive from your territory will be forwarded to you, fostering your success. Your prosperity contributes to our collective success.

Handling Warranty Issues

All WaterMonster products include a 1-year manufacturer's warranty. Most issues can be resolved through basic troubleshooting techniques, which we will provide you with. If a product is found to be defective, the supplier will replace it at their discretion, though such cases are exceptionally rare.

Shipping Time

Upon full payment, the usual delivery time is 6-8 weeks.
